The glass video and sound installation Luodda – Track by Monica L Edmondson is part of the touring group exhibition Áigematki – Time travel. 
The exhibition shows contemporary art created by Sámi artists living in Norway, Finland and Sweden.
All exhibitors are members of Sámi Dáiddacehpiid Searvi (SDS)/the Sámi Artists’ Association.

100 MIGRATORY in TV documentary 22 December 2015

Nominations: Grandprize 2015 & Årets Västerbottning

Monica L Edmondson has been nominated to two prestigious prizes:

Grandpriset 2015 through Region Västerbotten (a co-operative body which is responsible of regional development issues and growth in Västerbotten County) and Länsstyrelsen (The County Administrative Board of Västerbotten which is a Swedish national authority).

Swedish Arts Council Literature funding to book 100 MIGRATORY!

The book 100 MIGRATORY received Literature funding through the Swedish Arts Council. So now the publishers DAT  are about to pack and send 287 books to all main libraries around the country.

The book has now sold out and nothing left in stock. If you want a book try Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg (as in image below), Museum of Västerbotten Umeå, Ájtte Jokkmokk, Trolltrumman Tärnaby or Gällivare Museum.

Lecture Umeå & Gothenburg Book Fair 2014

Sunday the 21st of September I take part in a seminar discussing issues within Design, crafts and marketing at the Museum of Västerbotten in Umeå Sweden at 12-17. I will give a presentation ” The story about hundred migrating vessels and a facade of glass”.
