100 migratory – recap

2024 it is ten years ago 100 MIGRATORY was exhibited at Västerbottens museum as part of European Capital of Culture Umeå 2014. This is celebrated by presenting images and a few glass vessels from the art project in a solo exhibition at Sjungaregården Granö 70 km west of Umeå along E12. Lofoten International Art Festival LIAF
Svolvær September 20 – October 20 2024
For the LIAF 2024 exhibition, I am currently working on new textile artworks in which I explore the feeling of a place and/or a person in a similar way of the notion of a vuolle/jojk. I have used the very old Sami weaving technique of rádno performed on a warp-weighted standing loom/oppstadvev commonly used in a traditional form in the Manndalen area of Norway.
